Krystal had a similar heart defect to what my wife has. We were fortunate enough to have had a doctor versed enough in the type of heart problem to detect hers early, but it's a field that still has a long way to go. Supermodel Nikki Taylor's sister died from the same heart defect as Krystal I believe, and NFL quarterback Chad Pennington has a milder form of the problem, but with early detection has been able to continue his football career.
