Thanks Thea, but it looks like I'm SOL on the 3 that you mentioned - can't get them in my neck of the woods. Unfortunately, it appears that Dr. K.F. is the only one I can find. Boo Delaware!

I love seeing a California blogger covering New York wines. Although I have lived in Washington state most of my life, I spent most of my 20s in upstate New York. The Finger Lakes is where I first fell in love with wineries as being the story behind the wine. I was a biologist, living with a chemistry teacher and together we learned about the science of grapes and wine at the knees of Finger Lake winemakers, in between the summer concerts on winery lawns.
Back in Washington state, I am also blessed to have a great number of quality wines just out side my back door. I like to support local businesses so I haven't been straying too far outside of Washington wines, except to train and refresh my palate. You have inspired me to take a trip down memory lane amongst the Finger Lakes :-)

hi mark,

I liked mine on the drier side, so my top three were:

    * Ravines Wine Cellars 2006 Riesling
    * Atwater Vineyards 2007 Dry Riesling
    * Wiemer Vineyards 2007 Dry Riesling

I still need to taste more, and go back and taste again!

hope you write some of your experiences too!

Xandria,
Thank you for sharing. I'm going to see if I can get my hands on a bottle of the Dr. Frank.
Cheers!

Mark, as one of Thea's guests that night, I can tell you that my favorite Riesling was the Dr. Konstantin Frank 2007 Dry Riesling. It was dry but not bone dry, and had nice fruit and some mineral notes and I found well balanced. It was great to have a chance to try so many FL rieslings at the same tasting. thank you Thea and Lenndevours!
